Capacity of hard disk increase very fast and the most common size of hard disk for desktop is 160G and still will increase in future. The time use to defrag hard disk also will increase due the hard disk size. Some user will not try to defrag the entire hard disk because time to wait will be longer, so some user just will defrag their hard disk by partition. But the time of hard disk defragment is also depend on the size of the partition. Now with Defraggler, users can run it faster.
Defraggler is a free tool that enabling users to quickly and simply defrag the files users want to, without having to process the whole drive. With this tool user now can defrag selected file instead of the entire hard disk, anyway defrag entire hard disk with Defraggler still possible. Users can bring this tool anyway with their thumbdrive because it’s portable and the size of the Defraggler is small.
Below are the lists of the features of Defraggler
- Defrag Individual Files - Most defragmentation tools only let you defrag the whole drive. Defraggler gives you the power to select individual files and folders to defrag. So you can get the job done in seconds, rather than waiting for the whole drive to complete. Of course if you want to defrag the whole drive Defraggler will let you do that too.
- Compact and Portable - This results in a compact single EXE application, which can be copied to a thumbdrive and then used whenever you need it, without a complex installation process.
- Vista Support - Defraggler supports all OSs released since Windows 2000, this includes Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Vista. 64-bit support has also just been added! Additionally Defraggler supports both NTFS and FAT32 file systems.
- Locate Files on the Drive - After analysis Defraggler lists all the fragmented files on the drive. Selecting one or many will highlight their location on the disk. Allowing you to visually see the location of files on the disk.
Download Defraggler now and start using it instead of using Windows defragmentation tool.

I agree with the author that the Windows Default defragmentation untility is not the best in that it misses some of the files needing defragmenting.
I have successfully used a FREE defragmentation utility called JKDefrag for over 2 years. It does a fantastic job of putting the most often used files at the beginning of the drive and freeing up so much space.
JKDefrag can be found at http://www.jkdefrag.com and did I mention it is FREE???
