Due to some security of Windows, users have to provide the Active Directory users name and password only has permission to connect to the target server. Anyhow the most important is the local admin account, if anyone knows the local admin account and password then is easy for user to remote shutdown or reboots the Windows. Users just have to run DShutdown on their computer and provide the name or the IP of the server or computer users plan to reboot or shutdown. Beside that, it also provides type of shutdown, general options and timer to allow users to select and apply on the selected computers.

With DShutdown users or local admin now can use it to remotely shutdown or reboot the computer easily without using the default features that come together with Windows. DShutdown now can run on Windows 9x, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows VISTA and the size of the program is around 200KB.

  1. Sir,or madam I have a freind that has win vista based pc. when she boots up the pc asks if you want to boot from hard drive cd or lan. when they pick lan the pc boots up how is this possible? I would like to know if you can help me on this question. Thanks Tim Hallmon
