Security is the most important area now and future for computers as lots of the information or data on server, desktop or laptop was been stole by hacker or other third party organizations. Although other users get the data, they also need some time for to decrypt the data before they can read it. But for users who want protect again their own personal data by encrypt it, they may use TrueCrypt.

TrueCrypt is the free open source encryption software for everyone who needs it as it provides lots of features for users to protect their data by encrypt it. Now support Windows Vista, XP, 2000 and Linux. After install in the laptop or desktop, users just have to select which partition or drive to be encrypted for security purpose.

Below is the list of the features for TrueCrypt

• Creates a virtual encrypted disk within a file and mounts it as a real disk.
• Encrypts an entire hard disk partition or a storage device such as USB flash drive.
• Encryption is automatic, real-time (on-the-fly) and transparent.
• Provides two levels of plausible deniability, in case an adversary forces you to reveal the password
• Encryption algorithms: AES-256, Serpent, and Twofish. Mode of operation: LRW.
